POSITION: MRICS BUILDING SURVEYOR

The Role

MRICS Building Surveyor within Building Consultancy Team of multi-disciplinary form of Chartered Surveyors in Kent. This is an opportunity to join an expanding team based in either our Maidstone or Gravesend offices.

With strong Building Surveying Skills in most service areas; the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional and project services.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth of the department. Working across all sectors, the role will involve the undertaking of an array of building surveying services; in particular: -

  • Planned/Reactive Maintenance
  • Defect Analysis
  • Pre-Acquisition Surveys
  • Dilapidations
  • Party Wall Maters
  • Insurance Reinstatement Cost Assessments
  • Bank Funded Construction & Development Monitoring
  • Contract Administration
  • CDM Co-Ordination
  • Project Management

The Person

  • MRICS Chartered status essential
  • Experience of managing and communicating with clients.
  • Sound commercial awareness
  • Sound knowledge & experience of drafting technical documents.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety Requirements
  • Excellent Time Management, Punctuality & Commitment
  • Willingness to mentor junior surveyors and APC candidates.
  • Experience of CAD use and Design Work desirable but not essential

The Package

Business Mileage:

45p per mile

Benenden:

Benenden health care is free after one year's service although you can self fund for the first year.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch. Attendance at out of hours for AGMs and Directors' meetings is a requirement.

Holidays:

Our holiday year runs from 1 st July to 30 th June each year. Holiday allowance subject to package.

Learning and Development Programme:

There is a Learning and Development Programme in place and it is designed to help you settle into your new role and ensure that appropriate training is given. This programme includes a series of one to one meetings with your line manager and department director.

Long Service Award:

After ten years an additional day's holiday rising after 15 years to two additional days and then rising after 20 years' service to three additional days per annum.

The Company has a pension scheme in place with Aviva.

Sports & Social Committee:
