The Electronics Technician Role:

A vacancy has arisen for an Electronic Technician to join our growing bespoke electronics company supporting a team of 10 Engineers responsible for the design of electronic controls for the automotive industry. The work is extremely varied, covering anything from Ultrasonic Security Modules to full Body Control Systems.

Reporting to the Technical Director, successful candidates will work as the technical author on a number of projects and will be required to work in a flexible and hands-on way. This is a great opportunity for an Electronics Technician with a sound understanding of the principles of electronics and one/two years’ experience, preferably in the automotive sector. You will develop and learn new skills which could lead to becoming an Electronic Engineer.

About you:

Applications are invited from candidates with a good HNC or Degree in Electronics, with the following demonstrable experience and skills:

+ Surface mount soldering
+ Assembly, modification, and testing of prototype PCBs incorporating surface mount components
+ Testing and evaluation of automotive electronic systems designed in-house, using a range of test equipment
+ Documenting results (including photographic evidence) and writing up engineering reports/test results for clients
+ Maintenance of customers compliance matrices
+ Construction and evaluation of custom test equipment
+ Excellent attention to detail
+ Clear and concise written communication
+ Extremely IT literate
+ Teamwork

You may have worked in the following capacities:
Graduate Electronic Controls Engineer, Junior PCB Assembly, Engineer, Junior Electronics Engineer, Analogue and Digital Circuit Design Engineer, Electronics PCB Test Engineer
