Your new company This global business, recognised as leaders in their technology niche, are seeking an additional DevOps Engineer to join their expanding development team. You'll be based in their Basingstoke office, on direct commuting lines to London and within easy access of most location around the M3 Corridor. This is a hands-on role working in the app development team but offering a complete split between infrastructure and development and the chance to move into mentoring and to move across languages given the companies flexible approach to technology. Your new role Engineers will work across the whole product spectrum and will support the whole team in hosting and deploying the suite of applications that are implemented internally. This will include system automation, provisioning, scalability, security, monitoring and hardening. It's a fast paced environment and would suit those who enjoy reactionary tasks based on instantaneous real world feedback from users. It would suit a multi-faceted individual that studies new and upcoming trends outside of work. It's a highly exciting time to be joining a business that has experienced 30/40% growth year on year since inception and are investing in the development team to ensure they are an enabler for the company. What you'll need to succeed You will have considerable experience working with Docker / Kubernetes / Ansible / Puppet / Chef etc. You'll also have good commercial experience with scripting and using Python / Bash / JavaScript / Ruby / or other open source languages. We're seeking someone with Linux SysAdmin, or close to, skills in order to support the stack and would like a proponent of Infrastructure as Code. The team run Agile in a cloud environment and believe in open communication lines with developers encouraged to bring new ideas to the table.
