Family Intervention Worker

Leicester

Salary: £14,950 per annum following the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period

Hours: 27 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

A leading supported housing provider has a great opportunity f for a Family Intervention Worker for their service in Leicester that provides support and accommodation to vulnerable young parents and their children.

The main purpose of the Family Intervention Worker role is to provide family intervention, by way of a tailor-made support package. They are responsible for participating in providing a safe, secure home where both parent and child can develop positively.

To be successful in this role of Family Intervention Worker you will have experience of working with young people and teenage parents; knowledge and understanding of the needs of families and young people who are vulnerable or socially excluded.

You will be self-motivating with sound written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to achieve positive outcomes; good interpersonal and negotiating skills; good IT skills together with great organisational and time management abilities.
