JOB TITLE: Premises Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: Grade 10 (GBP33,605 to GBP39,129)
WORKING HOURS: FULL TIME, FULL YEAR
THE SCHOOL: Huntington School is a coeducational, comprehensive secondary school situated in Huntington, York, England, with approximately 1,500 pupils.
THE ROLE: The role of the Premises Manager will be to lead on facilities management and health and safety across the school site. The Premises Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Huntington School premises operate effectively and safely to support the teaching and learning of students. They are also responsible for ensuring that the school makes best possible use of the resources available. Our core purpose is, to inspire confident learners who will thrive in a changing world.
The post holder has direct line management responsibility for in-house site supervisors, midday
supervisors and the cleaning team. Budget management and project management experience are essential along with the ability to build effectual relationships with staff, governors and external contractors, using influencing skills to ensure improvements are successfully implemented and legal standards are maintained.
THE CANDIDATE: The Governors are seeking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Premises Manager. Experience of managing all premises-related issues on a large multi-functional site
is essential and experience of working in a large educational environment would be an advantage.
You must have excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and hold a relevant qualification - NEBOSH Certificate is required as a minimum. You must also have successful experience of leading staff and working with contractors.
Candidates meeting the minimum criteria will be asked to complete a standard school application form.
