We have a number of exciting opportunities at Rethink Mental Illness for a Service Manager to join our management at The Mead in Warminster. Working on a full time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,690 to £28,879 per annum!

The Service Manager Role

Reporting to the CQC Registered Manager, you will be part of an innovative and dynamic team working to provide high quality, outcome focused services for individuals experiencing mental illness.

As Service Manager you will lead the front line operational delivery of our services.  Our services provides compassionate, person centred care and support that is outcome focused and tailored to meet individuals needs. The ideal candidate will have managerial experience in delivery of  registered services with a good working knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Service Manager

- Lead and develop teams in delivering forward thinking, person centred, high quality services that meet the needs of individuals and commissioners. 

- Ensure that the tools of person centred recovery planning (ISSP) are embedded into local practice and that staff are utilising systems correctly to record support activities.

- Drive compliance with all polices and regulatory requirements; whilst striving to achieve the best possible outcomes and internal/external recognition of quality.

- Take on an active leadership role.

- Support the implementation of change, best practice and continuous improvement.

- Have excellent communication and IT skills

- Hold a clean UK Drivers license and have the use of a car

Skills & Experience required of our Service Manager:

- Experience of managing a service in a health or social care setting, including managing & supporting a staff team and volunteers

- Experience of dealing with and reporting Incident/Accidents/Near Misses.

- Safeguarding reporting

- Ability to assess, plan and monitor support to achieve & evidence recovery and service outcomes

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues of all levels

- Skills and confidence to network and maintain relations with external colleagues &  agencies

- Ability to engage with service users, families & carers, to develop positive relationships

- Significant knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with mental illness and be familiar with best practice developments

- Excellent time manager with ability to plan and prioritise a complex workload
