Financial Controller - Immediate Start Date
Leading Staffordshire-based PR and content agency, Edson Evers is looking to recruit a self- motivated Financial Controller to join its management board and enhance the commercial performance of its business.

The Role:
You will be responsible for financial accounting and regulatory reporting. You will work alongside the Board to improve the productivity and profitability of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
- Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Preparation of monthly /quarterly P&L and balance sheet
- Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
- Financial planning, modelling, workflow and analysis
- Cash management
- Overseeing the payroll process
- Preparation of VAT, PAYE and other HMRC returns

Qualifications
- An accountancy qualification - part or full (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) plus relevant experience
- Management experience with proven leadership skills
- Ability to manage projects to scheduled commitments and budgets
- Professional level presentation skills
- Ability to develop, manage and measure business plans and strategies
- Excellent project, planning, change and time management capabilities
- Exceptional team player
- Turn challenges into opportunities, think positively and solution driven
- Possess good judgment and decision-making skills
Skills
Must have exceptional knowledge and experience of Excel, Sage and/or Xero
What we're offering:
This role is a permanent basis and in return the company is offering a salary of £27,000 to £32,000 depending on experience and qualifications, 25 days' holiday, free parking, pension scheme, DISS, plus a raft of 'soft' benefits.
