Our client, part of a global operation, are seeking suitably experienced Lathe Operators to join their team. Your role as a multi skilled (CNC) machinist will be the machining of thermal coated components. As a multi-skilled, proficient Lathe / Mill Setter, you will join an established team where you will be well rewarded, provided with full PPE and enjoy on-going training. KEY CNC MACHINE OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Programme lathes and mills
• Plan the machining of components by studying and understanding, engineering plans, drawings and specifications
• Verify setting by measuring of part or sample pieces
• Detect mal-functions, troubleshoot, adjust and re-programme as required
• Replace worn tooling
• At all times adhere to all Company quality and health and safety procedures
• Maintain safe operation of machinery

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION CNC MACHINE OPERATOR:

• Extensive NC / machine operation experience
• Proven experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Experience in the use of standard measurement equipment
• Can demonstrate good numeric skills
• Able to work on own initiative, independently and with limited supervision
• Aptitude to make decisions and develop solutions to non-routine issue or problems
