Notional base will be Telford by 2019 (Interim period will be based at Stafford or Shrewsbury,to be confirmed with the successful applicant)
Salary £24,724.90
Permanent, 37 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for a Market Rent Officer to join our expanding team in Shrewsbury!

Responsibilities: 
In this role you will be required to carry out tenancy sign ups, set up and manage tenancy and rent accounts for all lettings. To manage rent collections including responsibility for collecting cash directly from customers and banking it. To liaise with the Leasehold Manager and where appropriate Legal Services in any cases of non-payment up to court level, in order to take effective and immediate action where necessary.

To liaise with tenants to manage all tenancy issues including repairs, emergency repairs, alterations and anti-social behaviour. To co-ordinate ad-hoc and structured repairs, with prior approval, as necessary liaising with customers, colleagues, contractors and other agencies as required.

You will also be required to carry out pre-exit and exit inspections for all properties on notice and assess condition in relation to returning deposit, to liaise with the asset inspectors and gas and electrical contractors to arrange access for inspections.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar position within a housing association is desirable
• Ability to work independently using own initiative as well as a member of a team
• Shows determination to reach targets and objectives
• Uses a methodical approach to getting things done
• Good Customer Service skills, with both internal and external customers
