Trainee Civil Engineer Scheme
Leeds City Council is the second largest authority in England and has ambitions to be the Best City council in the UK. We currently have opportunities to join our Trainee Civil Engineer scheme.
Trainees will be registered with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) as a student member and employed under a formal training agreement with Leeds City Council.
The scheme offers the opportunity to gain work experience in a number of different service areas, whilst studying towards achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Leeds Beckett University.
All tuition fees will be paid throughout the training period by Leeds City Council. The starting salary will be GBP16,100 with salary progression being awarded through successful achievement of academic qualifications and work experience appraisals.
If you have achieved GCSE grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics, as well as 88 UCAS Tariff points in your A-levels (or equivalent, excl. general studies) from a minimum of two science or numerate subjects, then we want to hear from you!
The application process will consist of a number of stages (see below). Candidates will be offered a post on successful progression through each of the following stages.
1st Stage - Application Form Closing date Friday 13th April 2018 (12 noon)
2nd Stage - Assessment Early July 2018
3rd Stage - Interview End of July 2018
Successful Candidates Start date August 2018
