Consult HR are delighted to be partnering a successful, dynamic high growth business in the appointment of their first Director of People

Industry leaders, the company have experienced superb continued year on year growth and have ambitious plans for their future which will see continued substantial growth across the UK and the US with intentions to work towards a liquidity event in a two year timeframe. This is a dynamic, high energy business with a team focused, collaborative, fun, high performance culture. They are a multi-sited consumer facing business with just over 3000 employees and an extremely bright, experienced and engaging leadership team. The company attracts exceptionally able staff and there is a very strong commitment to the company's mission and values and a positive fun culture.

The people function has evolved organically over the past 10 years and is split into three areas, Recruitment, Training and HR, currently all overseen by the COO. The team has performed well but, given the rapid business growth and staff numbers, now requires dedicated leadership, allowing the COO to focus on sales and operational performance management. The Board has therefore decided to create the position of 'Director of People', focused on the further strategic development of staff performance management, talent attraction, retention and employee engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to work as part of the senior management team within an entrepreneurial and highly motivated organisation, helping it to move into its next phase of growth.

You will be strategic in your approach, coupled with the desire to be hands on, happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. You will bring a strong commercial outlook and be keen to get fully immersed in the company, highly visible across the multi-site locations to understand the heart of their business - its people.

Culture fit will be vital in making this appointment. With that in mind our client is open to considering candidates who are currently operating at Head of/HR Director level or ambitious HR Business Partner/Managers who have led teams that are looking for their first step into an overall HR leadership role. It would be considered a clear advantage if you bring HR experience of working within a fast paced, customer focused, multisite industry such as hospitality, leisure or retail. You'll have experienced first-hand and possess a good knowledge of what best practice looks like, and be able to bring creativity around how that can be best applied to an SME that is going through the growth that brings scale, maturity and complexity. You will relish the prospect of adding value to a fast paced, growing business and will have a high level of integrity and professionalism. You should be looking to join a highly collaborative, supportive team where your ideas, experience and knowledge can have real impact.

This is a fabulous opportunity for someone energised, motivated and driven who is now looking to utilise their HR and leadership skills with a dynamic business where you have real scope to create a brilliant HR function for this very special business.
