The Head Office is located at Bolton Abbey in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There is now an opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join the N.Peal Finance team to support this exciting and dynamic business as it continues to grow in the UK and internationally.

Job Description

As Financial Controller, you will be reporting to the Finance Director.

Your remit will include the preparation of timely, accurate Monthly Management and other Financial Information for the Finance Director. You will lead the Finance team, and take responsibility for the financial control and transaction processing within the Group, including operations in the UK, USA, Ireland and Germany. You will heading up the day to day activities and also be required to work closely with various other key stakeholders of the management team on ad hoc projects.

The Successful Applicant

You will have prior experience as a Financial Controller and Group accounting experience would also be beneficial.

Key experience / skills required:

  • Strong focus on controls and processes and a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrate problem solving & analytical skills
  • The ability to multi-task, as well as a willingness to not only lead, but roll up sleeves as an individual contributor.
  • Up-to-date technical skills and confident preparing UK statutory accounts
  • The ability to work closely with external advisers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you will engage with colleagues on a daily basis and you'll need to ensure processes and standards are being followed
  • People manager who can evidence development of staff
