Senior HR Advisor
Your new company
My client are a national logistics provider with sites all over the UK. They now have a requirement for a Senior HR Advisor to provide HR support to their sites based in Staffordshire and Shropshire with regular travel between the two sites.
Your new role
As Senior HR Advisor, you will build commitment for HR strategies, identifying and working through specific functional concerns, whilst ensuring organisational structures are aligned and supporting business goals.
You will influence the development of HR policies and processes to ensure they meet the needs of the business, effectively managing the implementation of both Group initiatives and priorities.
You will manage headcount to ensure budgets are appropriately managed and challenge costs within the business to improve productivity, effect restructuring changes to optimise resources.
As Senior HR Advisor you will act as a Consultant to leadership teams to improve the effectiveness of performance development and ensure performance management process is in place and operating effectively.
You will Input & participate into disciplinary and grievance processes as required and build & execute change programmes which build capability and grow talent .
You will manage employee relations issues associated with any change, in particular proactive management of the relationship with the Unions & I&C representatives and be able to create an effective & positive employee relations climate. Critical to the success of this is developing managers with skills, tools and techniques to manage change and employee issues whilst adopting a pragmatic approach in researching, developing & implementing best in class HR practices.
You will provide case management, advising & supporting grievance/ performance/ disciplinary/ absence associated matters including management of Tribunal proceedings with ACAS intervention as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong HR legislative understanding/ knowledge with experience in advising on HR associated matters (grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence).
You will be experienced in organisational change, demonstrating capability of working within a Business Partner/ matrix structure.
You will posses excellent casework management expertise gained within a commercial environment with logistics or similar sector experience preferred.
This is an immediate requirement so candidates with no or short notice periods will be looked upon favourably.
What you'll get in return
The role attracts a salary of cGBP28,000-GBP32,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
