The Company: Our client is a College located in Eastbourne which is currently undergoing a multi-million pound investment in first class independent education for the 21 st century. On completion, it will deliver 32 state-of-the-art classrooms; a sports centre; a dining hall with function rooms and caf??; a three-storey pavilion; a foyer attached to the College theatre, a reception area, a new school shop and plentiful social and exhibition space.
Our client now has an excellent opportunity for a Teacher of Physics to join their team from September 2018 on Maternity Cover.
The Role: As a Teacher of Physics, you will inspire and educate in this key academic subject, teaching Physics to pupils of all abilities throughout the school. You will also play a full role in the development of pupils by contributing to the academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the College.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
The Candidate: To be considered for the role of Teacher of Physics, you must be educated to good degree standard (or equivalent) in Physics or a closely related subject and have the ability to teach Physics to GCSE and A2 level. A Teacher qualification, a higher degree, and the ability to teach Mathematics or another Science discipline would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

- Preparing lessons in accordance with programmes of study and schemes of work drawn up by the HoD
- Expecting and promoting the highest standards of pupil behaviour both in and out of the classroom
- Keeping up to date records of pupil progress, sanctions and rewards
- Attending parents meetings and other academic events as requested by the Headmaster or other members of the Senior Management Team
- Carrying out any other duties associated with the role as requested by the Headmaster or Senior Management Team
