We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Worker to work within a service for Acquired Brain Injury. If you enjoy supporting people through their recovery and enabling independence, this is a great opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience.

The service is in a beautiful countryside setting and provides specialist rehabilitation for adults with an acquired brain injury, including traumatic brain injury and strokes. They pride themselves in offering a holistic approach to rehabilitation and supporting service users with cognitive, behavioural and emotional needs. As part of this role you will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviour and delivering personal care. You will be required to adapt to the diverse individual needs of the service users, which may include complex behavioural difficulties. Improving quality of life for the service users is of paramount importance and is enshrined throughout the values of the service.

This is a temporary role with the opportunity for ongoing work. Shifts will consist of a 26 hour week, followed by a 48 hour week, including alternate weekends. Shifts are 0730-1315 and 1300-1945.

For this role you will need to possess a minimum of 12 months experience working in care, with experience working with acquired brain injury. It is also vital that you possess Breakaway training to be considered for this role.
