Are you passionate about making a difference for people in later life? Do you have the skills and experience to help busy practitioners articulate and share their knowledge and learn from each other? If so, we want to hear from you. We are the Centre for Ageing Better, an independent charitable foundation. We believe that more people living longer represents a huge opportunity for society, and we want everyone to enjoy a good later life. From social connections to healthy ageing, we know that there's already a huge amount of good work being done. Rather than starting yet another new project, we can often make the biggest contribution by bringing people working on a topic together, to share their experiences, identify pressing common questions, and adopt approaches that are most likely to make a difference. That's where you'll come in. Working in areas where we know what works, and those where we don't, you will convene practitioners, researchers, funders and people with lived experience of specific topics. Facilitating networks and communities of practice, brokering exchanges, running calls for practice or action research projects, you'll find the most effective ways to help people capture, share and apply practical, useable lessons. You'll also manage Ageing Better's work on one of our priority topics - building the evidence base, developing and testing new ideas and promoting wider adoption of what works. The successful candidate will have outstanding facilitation and critical thinking skills. You will be familiar with a range of techniques to foster shared learning and reflection. You will be persuasive and strongly collaborative, able to engage people from different sectors and disciplines. Most important, you will bring a strong track record of supporting people to reflect critically on their experiences and share their learning openly with others. The ideal candidate will be interested in Ageing Better's agenda and in taking forward our priority topics. To apply please send a CV with a covering letter setting out how you meet the essential criteria for the role. The closing date for this position is 9.00am on Monday 9 April with interviews to be held on Monday 16 April. Flexible working options will be considered.
