Indirect Tax Senior Associate
About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Indirect Tax Senior Associate to join a successful market leading Indirect Tax team.
As the market leading Indirect Tax team, we work closely with clients operating across all sectors. The Indirect Tax team primarily assist clients on VAT, stamp taxes and other indirect tax matters. The work covers a varied range of assignments, including national and international projects, tax disputes, business transformation projects, claims and client driven consultancy opportunities. All members of the team work closely with colleagues in Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, Employee Taxes, Assurance and Consulting teams.
The role will be to assist the Senior Indirect Tax team members to deliver a first class Indirect Tax consulting service to our diverse client base of leading multinational and national clients. A strong indirect tax background is required with experience of tax advisory work, and ideally experience of tax compliance and audit of tax.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with good interpersonal and commercial skills, capable of building solid relationships both with clients and internal networks.
The role would be well suited for those with a desire and an ability to seek and embrace new opportunities for learning, sharing knowledge, and thinking creatively.
The role will be based in our Birmingham office with occasional travel to our other offices and to client sites for meetings or site based work.
Essential skills and experience
- Strong indirect tax background, including some level of training on the technical aspects of VAT;
- Practical experience of working on VAT assignments, including an understanding of the commercial implications of the tax; and
- An ability to communicate effectively both with clients and colleagues
