eCommerce Engineer: Nottingham, UK
About the Job
Are you excited about building and supporting the eCommerce systems and web sites that serve millions of our amazing customers each year?
Do you want to be part of an agile team made up of eCommerce and front-end engineers, software testers and business stakeholders? It means spending time really understanding the problems we are trying to solve and creating high quality solutions together quickly.
You will be using techniques like Test Driven Development and Pair Programming to write code in Java, Groovy, JavaScript, HTML and SQL to create secure and performant software on the Oracle eCommerce platform.
Every day, you will be looking for ways to improve how we build and support our services and champion new ideas to help give the best results possible for our customers. So it is incredibly important that you care about the software development process and understand the importance of collaboration.
You will also be providing operational support where the most important thing you will do is to make sure that our eCommerce systems and web sites are always working for everyone and everywhere.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is serious about becoming a full stack Java web developer. We don’t expect you to know everything on day one. What we do expect is that you will throw yourself in with a passion for learning and teamwork.
We know that doing the right thing, doing it right and doing is fast is really hard, but we also know that for the right candidate it’s going to be really fun too!
Still excited? Then we would love to read your application letter.
