Finance Assistant - £Competitive Salary – Borehamwood – Full Time Permanent.

Due to a promotion, they have an excellent opportunity to join their highly successful firm as a finance assistant. The post will be within a small team and reporting to the Financial Controller.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be providing general financial and bookkeeping duties for the firm, which include:
- Posting of daily receipts and recording bank payments onto in-house database system and sage
- Daily banking reconciliations
- Ownership of Purchase Ledger, including communication with suppliers to ensure all accounts are reconciled and accurate, responsibility for obtaining authorisation coding and posting of bills to the purchase ledger and all payments
- Monthly posting of rechargeable staff expenses to the Work in Progress database
- Attending to the private banking and reimbursements of business expenses
- Analysis and posting of petty cash and credit card payments, as well as taking credit card payment instructions via telephone
- Filing for the internal finance department
About you
They would ideally like you to already be working within a similar role, ideally within banking or finance but they’d be equally interested if you have a relevant industry background. You’ll also have
- Knowledge of Sage Line 50, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Previous experience within an accounts department, working with ledgers, invoices and recording bank payments
- Attention to detail, a methodical attitude and the ability to work to specific deadlines
- Able to work with confidential information
