Asian Women Lone Parents Association (AWLPA) is a charity (no: ) and a company limited by guarantee (no. ) supporting Asian women who are lone parents, and their children, by providing services that enables them to improve their lives and wellbeing. Through active support we look to empower women to participate in their social, economic, health and physical environment. We are recruiting for a dynamic and confident Director to lead, manage and grow the Charity and its services. The successful candidate will have experience of leading an NGO/Charity including fundraising, stakeholder, funder and project management, developing programmes, delivering projects, charity administration, infrastructure and compliance, working with a board of trustees, and of working with vulnerable women. As well as managing staff and volunteers, including engagement, support, recruitment and training. They will have a professional manner, being committed, innovative, organized and pro-active, with an ability to work with a range of partners, funders, stakeholders and local community. They will also hold an understanding of the issues affecting lone Asian Mothers and their families. If you are interested in applying please refer to job advert and specification below.
