Sense are looking for a reliable and motivated Registered Care Manager to join our professional team at our service in Erdington, Birmingham. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.

About the role 
As a Manager you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments and/or learning disabilities. You will effectively manage a team to deliver person centred, specialist services that meet organisational standards and expectations. As part of your role you will also provide hands on support within the 24-hour service.

You will need to have a sound knowledge of person centred planning, rota planning, staff management/development and budget management. In order to support Sense’s commitment to high quality, accountable services, you will need to be aware of the expectations of the Health and Social Care Act 2015 and to develop an understanding of Senses’ Quality Assurance system. You will be required, to be registered with the relevant external agencies and maintain compliance.

About You 
You will demonstrate significant experience and knowledge of:

  • Leading a team and promoting a culture of creativity and innovation, to deliver outstanding service.
  • Contributing to, and delivering, organisational strategy.
  • Understanding of the external influences on the delivery of Sense services.
  • Working flexibly, across days and nights, be well organised and able to plan effectively.
  • A strong background in the Health and Social Care sector.
  • You must have achieved or be willing to work towards a Level Five Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards an accredited award.

The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with challenging situations and of advocating in the best interests of individuals.

A full UK driving licence is desirable for this role.
