Head of Technology | Develop and scale our talented Dev/ Dev-ops/ QA team

This opportunity will give you freedom to use your proven technical and man-management skills to architect our tech stack, whilst expanding and mentoring our development and dev-ops teams. You will have access and support from a world-class CTO group to help you succeed

We will like you to select and implement appropriate technologies, design your team, lead recruitment and craft our processes using solid principles and guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Build out the alliance partner growth plans to establish this as a core revenue channel
  • Identify ideal partner opportunities, build strong relationships and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Build out the commercial model to ensure profitable acceleration of the channel for Hive Learning
  • Build out key processes to establish scaled growth of the network
  • Support the growth of the business into new markets
  • Support partners with the effective launch of our platform into clients to ensure outstanding client value and customer success
  • Establish key business planning structure to accurately forecast volume and capacity requirements
  • Work closely with our services team to ensure outstanding platform launch and delivery

Skills & Experience
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and you are a CTO or see yourself as a future CTO
  • Hungry to contribute to a rapidly growing, early-stage business: currently small but potentially huge
  • Fired-up by the opportunity to craft your own team, culture and processes
  • Passionate about building an excellent, reliable, scalable platform
  • Humble and collaborative, creative and analytical
  • Boasting a 'growth mind-set' with the ability to explore and adopt new practices and spearhead adoption
  • You've managed the 'scaling' of a development team at least once before
  • You've built your own team composing 2 or more 'squads' and mentored their achievement and growth
  • You've designed and nurtured effective, rewarding development team cultures
  • You've influenced, and perhaps owned, the tech stack and related decisions
  • You've worked with a product that has both web and native versions (i.e. hybrid)
  • You've probably re-platformed at least once to newer Front End technologies
  • You understand the pros and cons of progressive Front End frameworks eg. React or Angular/Angular 2
  • You can hire and build a high performance team
  • You are an Agile advocate and able to apply different methodologies pragmatically
  • You lead by doing; you relish being in the midst of sprint processes and planning
  • You enjoy identifying the ways the team can work smarter and deliver value to our clients and end-users faster
  • You can architect code and contribute to sprint and QA plans
  • You set out growth paths for your developers and support them to build capabilities
  • You build strong relationships with all stakeholders in the company
  • You enjoy understanding customers and working in customer focussed ways
  • You are data driven and enjoy leading towards achievement of goals and appropriate measurements
  • You are commercially aware and interested in business models
