Development Officer

Location: Tamar Valley Centre, Drakewalls, Gunnislake 

An energetic, experienced and innovative Development Officer is sought to work with the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (TVAONB) at Drakewalls near Gunnislake. With increasing pressure on public funds the team is looking for an individual who will help secure the AONB's future through identifying and obtaining new income streams and developing and managing project funding bids.  The post holder will also be expected to determine and implement new opportunities for income generation associated with the development of the Tamar Valley Centre a multifunctional community building/visitor centre. Key to this role will be supporting the further development and income generating activities of Tamar TLC CIO which supports the work of the AONB.  This is a real opportunity to make your mark and make a difference to the communities and nationally important landscape of the Tamar Valley.

You will have a successful track record in fundraising, marketing and for generating income from a variety of sources and experience of working with charitable bodies and/or social enterprises.

You will have an ability to work strategically but also understand practical delivery.

To work with us you should also have a passion for landscape, heritage and people and enjoy working in a friendly and multidisciplinary team. The post is available immediately and is a fixed term appointment for two years.
