We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our vibrant and busy Marketing and Communications team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England achieve its goal of training one in ten of the population in Mental Health First Aid skills. This role will be a first point of contact for the marketing and communications team, monitoring and managing the media inbox and filtering requests to the rest of the team. You will work closely with and support all areas of the team, with no two days being the same. Assisting with social media and communications you will support with the monitoring our social media channels and schedule all social media content on a daily basis. You will assist with daily media scanning and reporting, keeping the coverage log up to date. You will create and update key team spreadsheets and maintain an up to date calendar of hooks and events; feeding into our external communications plan. You will also support the organising of internal and external events; arranging the distribution of marketing materials as required and placing materials orders with suppliers where necessary. The successful candidate will have an interest in social media and media relations, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will be highly organised with the ability to manage your time and different tasks well. You will have an ability to work proactively and enjoy working as part of a team; sharing ideas and learning from others. Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including PowerPoint, Word and Excel is essential, and knowledge of Mailchimp, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Hootsuite and ADX Studio CRM and CMS would be useful.
