THE ROLE
I am seeking an INTERMEDIATE PLANNING ENGINEER who is keen to train as a Delay Analyst to do forensic planning for claims, disputes etc. to join a firm in Scotland.
THE CLIENT
My client is a firm of claims and dispute resolution consultants. They have offices in the UK and abroad.
My client works on Claims and Dispute Resolution in the Power Generation, Building, Marine, Civil Engineering and Oil & Gas industries.
THE CANDIDATE
You will need to be a Degree qualified Planning Engineer with a few years experience gained working for a main contractor or large civil engineering or building contractor.
You must have gained good site based planning experience to have a good understanding of the building process on site.
You will have good IT skills and good experience of using Primavera P6 or similar planning software.
You will need to have good understanding of the planning engineering process and an understanding of what happens on site.
You will need to be interested in moving to doing retrospective planning and learning about all aspects of delay analysis / forensic planning. My client will also sponsor you to do further qualifications i.e. MSc in Construction Law or similar.
You will also become involved in helping with expert reports.
Excellent prospects for an ambitious planner to have a slight change of focus.
Salary is very negotiable according to level of experience but in the region of GBP50000 to GBP60000 per annum plus excellent company benefits.
