The Key Stage 1 Phase Leader Person Specification
Given the leadership nature of this role, the school will be looking for an experienced applicant who is an accomplished Teacher ('Good' or better grading from recent observations) and who also brings the sort of energetic, enthusiastic personality required to lead others! The school is hoping for an experienced Teacher who is able to deliver lessons in a clear, structured manner and create an inclusive working environment around them, whilst also being able to take time away from the class and focus on management aspects such as curriculum management and staff training. You'll wear multiple hats here, and if that is something that excites you then this role could be perfect for you!
The Key Stage 1 Phase Leader Role
In this varied Key Stage 1 Phase Leader role, you will be getting involved in areas such as; planning and managing progression of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, mentoring NQTs and TAs, and maintaining a presence in class with a percentage of class teaching where required! Furthermore you will have the opportunity to liaise regularly with the schools SLT, and sit in on staff appraisals and lesson observations too! Key Stage 1 will be yours to run and oversee, so take it upon yourself to give your staff advice on how to better their teaching practices and make this phase as strong as it can be! With attainment being the focus of attention for the SLT, you will have a specific focus on driving attainment in your phase and helping the school hit new heights of academic success!
