The Structured Notes PC team is seeking a talented and experienced professional for a VP role. You will be responsible for BFO related activities and processes covering controls around Structured Notes. This includes input into tactical and strategic change, working with Trade Management and Operations on issues and challenges, improving the control and operating environment and the communication of results and their interpretation to a wide set of partners. Given the material nature of the Structured Notes portfolio you should have strong Product Control experience preferably in a structured or complex business area.

Key Tasks include:
  • Work closely with senior management, SNSG & control functions to track and support the businesses in closing of key architectural control deficiencies.
  • Accountability for accuracy of financial reporting including Corporate Centre P&L and Own Credit Reporting, validating to source where possible.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise input into strategic deliveries, new business and tactical operational improvements.
  • Tracking business achievements, operational improvement, achieving efficiency and reduction in operational risk.
  • Supporting senior management with comprehensive investigation & analysis on complex issues.
  • Working across business divisions, Trade Management & Operations to understand the daily P&L and resolve issues such as booking, system and valuation issues.
  • Accurate and timely review of Account Ownership, Quarterly disclosures and SOX controls.
  • Supporting the current change book of work.

You Offer
  • A few years of Product Control experience. Other related areas will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and the associated overlay of the PC control and accounting framework is desirable.
  • Experience in New Business and change initiatives desirable.
  • Understanding of Credit Suisse's Derivatives and Notes trade capture, valuation and risk management architectures desirable.
  • Strong accounting skills required (US GAAP essential, Swiss GAAP & IFRS would be an advantage).
  • You have cross-functional knowledge of bank and ability to build positive relationships.
  • You have a confirmed ability to implement change and lead strategic agenda.
  • Excellent social skills, strong interpersonal and execution skills.
  • You are a dedicated teammate with strong leadership skills.
  • The bespoke architecture and operational complexities surrounding Structured Notes combined with the significant Own Credit exposure means this is a high profile area with numerous challenges ranging from tactical remediation to large strategic initiatives.
  • As a central function, it needs to get along with all Finance areas, i.e. across regional and divisional Business and Valuation Risk & Control teams, Accounting Policy, Legal Entity Control and Group & Capital Reporting.
