My client is a successful design led manufacturer with an impressive product portfolio. They continue to grow through market share and acquisition.
Description
As the purchasing manager you will:
- Take complete ownership over the supply base including quality, cost, and delivery into the 2 manufacturing sites within the Preston area
- Develop a close working relationship with design / engineering to enable a more efficient product development process
- Review purchasing systems and process to remove transactional activity
- Highlight opportunity for supply chain deficiencies (materials management, stocking policy)
- Support team development
Profile
The ideal candidate will be:
- Already operating as a purchasing manager or a senior buyer with reports
- Working within a high BOM based environment
- Able to adopt both a hands on and strategic approach
- Comfortable working with a design, engineering, and production
- Highly proactive, and supportive of overall business objectives
Job Offer
circa GBP40,000 + bonus
