As a part of the leadership team in the Site Merchandising Department at Wayfair, you will be responsible for customer strategy and product presentation in a key category on our website, mobile site and app. Your goal will be to create a best-in-class shopping experience and improve the performance of your category driving KPIs such as conversion rate, add-to-cart value and revenue.

The goal of the department is to influence customer journey and behavior through the following dimensions:

  • ENJOY: Have a best-in-class experience driving revenues - Continue to improve the quality of the merchandising presentation to increase SKU conversion
  • FIND: Optimize the site focusing on highest value areas - Understand where the customer is shopping on site - where they are most /least engaged through the funnel
  • TRUST: Focus on quality, design and customization based on customer data - Create customized, hand-curated landing pages based on analytics supported by merchandising tools
  • INSPIRE: Provide inspirational and buying assisted content to drive engagement and purchasing

Your responsibilities:

  • Make key customer-oriented decisions about how to merchandise our site
  • Drive and execute on a variety of e-commerce projects aimed at optimizing landing page performance based on customer data ROI models
  • Analyze site metrics and related data to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate and drive revenue growth across assigned product categories
  • Manage category pages & site navigation providing a dynamic, engaging customer experience through merchandising options
  • Develop and execute cross-sell / up-sell activities
  • Serve as the expert on merchandising and traffic in a given area of Wayfair's product catalogue
  • Relentlessly maintain high quality standards on merchandising of products in assigned categories, providing feedback as necessary to different teams
  • Manage a team of 4-6 people and coach/mentor peers

Experience and qualifications:

  • Strategy Consultancy experience is desirable
  • Proven experience in systematic analysis and deriving recommendations
  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues and opportunities
  • Impressive communication skills in English and German knowledge is required
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to problem solve, develop strategies and translate opportunities into measurable implementation
  • Clear interest in product presentation and an eye for what looks good in the online space
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of individual accountability and takes charge of self-development
  • Embraces and accelerates change in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborates easily with others and adapts to different working styles
  • A passion for design, furniture and interiors is a plus
