Work Placement Support (Support Worker) – Foundation, Learning and Support Faculty
30 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum plus excellent benefits
£16,439 – £16,840 fte (£11,074 - £11,344 actual)
We wish to appoint a motivated, dedicated and caring Support Worker (Work Placement) who can maintain our outstanding high standards supporting learners within the Faculty of Foundation, Learning and Support and in external workplace settings.
Your role will be to support learners with specific learning difficulties, disabilities or emotional/behavioural difficulties to access work experience by ensuring our students are fully prepared for each work placement, that the relevant health and safety standards are in place to keep our students safe, and schemes are monitored and run effectively
You may be required to support learners on a 1:1, 2:1 or general basis. You will be expected to work closely and communicate effectively with all members of the team to ensure the learners meet their full potential. A flexible approach will be required to fully support our learners in their activities at other college sites and in external workplaces, together with the ability to undertake all associated administration duties.
It is essential that candidates have a good standard of education, including GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent
