For over 50 years our research has saved lives. We've broken new ground, revolutionised treatments and transformed care. But heart and circulatory disease still kills one in four people in the UK. That's why we need you.
The British Heart Foundation's (BHF) primary objective is to fund life-saving research that can help prevent cardiovascular disease. In order to help achieve this, the BHF has commenced a project to develop a new central system in order to effectively manage this end-to-end process.
About the role
We are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer to lead the coordination of information for this new Grants Management System (GMS). You'll authorise action, mitigate escalated risks and review change requests relating to the overall Programme delivery.
As a central clearing house for project/workstream information, you'll be the owner of the Programme management process, coordinating between Project/Workstream level and Programme level to make sure that decision makers have the best information in the most accessible formats.
In addition to this specific project, you'll also support other key projects within the wider IT Programme of work.
About you
The successful candidate will have PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent, project management training and be able to demonstrate a track record of working in programme or project support.
You'll have experience of successfully working on complex and diverse projects in large organisations in a project / programme support role. With excellent communication skills you'll be experiences in working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
Working with teams that are split across many sites, you'll be happy to be part of a "virtual" team, able to keep in contact and up to date with key work and programmes.
This is an opportunity to join a team involved in major change within the organisation. We are looking for candidates with a can do attitude and excellent organisational skills. Ensuring key deadlines are met you'll be someone who wants to be involved in making us a world class organisation.
