LOCATION: Immingham Near Grimsby

JOB TITLE: Electrical Technician

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive depending on experience

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a combined Heat and Power plant in Immingham near Grimsby. Its one of the largest, cleanest and most efficient CHP plants in Europe. The plant is fuelled by natural gas and surplus refinery gas, with liquid as a back up. Due to continuous growth they are now looking for an Electrical Technician to join the team in Immingham.

THE ROLE: As an Electrical Technician you will be responsible for all Maintenance and Project work to be completed safely, efficiently and with the long term reliability of the equipment. You will undertake fault finding and implement improvement projects along with driving safety, environmental and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities for the Electrical Technician role to include:-

• Routine maintenance, projects and fault finding on Electrical equipment.
• Work with Planning Department to ensure an accurate daily schedule is produced and worked too
• Provide accurate and detailed feedback on defect resolution and deterioration mechanisms
• Undertake outage support during power train outages from defect identification, through planning to successful implementation
• Produce Maintenance work packs including reviews of risk assessments and method statements
• Undertake improvement, upgrades and project work and as advised by the EC&I Engineer
• Problem Solving and investigation into failures and deterioration mechanisms

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to have excellent organisation and time management skills. You will need to be an effective communicator and team player. You will be a self starter demonstrating the ability to develop and provide peers with the required support/coaching to meet the needs of the business.

Key experience essential for the role of the Electrical Technician:-

• Having undertaken a recognised technical apprenticeship with a minimum of 2 years' experience within the Generation or similar Process industry
• Minimum defined technician qualifications with practical experience (HNC preferred)
• Plant, reliability, inspection and maintenance experience
• Live within a commutable distance to Immingham near Grimsby
