Parts Specialist / Stock Controller - UK & Ireland (Food Processing Equipment)

We are a family owned business with a long history in the Poultry industry. Our strength is extensive knowledge of and expertise in Meyn and their products, which enables us to provide excellent technical support and advice to our customers as a leading provider of spare parts, servicing, installations and machine overhauls. Our unequivocal goal is to keep plants running with minimal disruptions by providing quick and efficient service.

About the Role: 

Reporting to the General Manager, we are seeking applicants who will be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of our Parts and Spares service. Based in the office, this is a real opportunity to broaden your knowledge and develop and grow the role within our expanding organisation.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

+ Handle customer enquiries by telephone and e mail
+ Identify parts using technical manuals and quote customers accordingly
+ Liaise with suppliers
+ Review levels and reorder quantities of stock items using SAGE
+ Ensure high levels of accuracy and completeness of Filemaker database records
+ Prepare accurate and complete parts documentation
+ Manage the annual stock take process and liaise with the General Manager 
+ Contribute to improvements in warehouse processes to increase efficiencies, reduce wastage and improve quality
About you: 

+ Spare Parts experience
+ Experience of customer service and delivering a quality service
+ Stock control/stock taking
+ Minimum 5 GCSE or equivalent including English and Mathematics
+ Strong IT and database skills – knowledge of Filemaker would be an advantage
+ Attention to detail and pursuit of high quality work
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Strong team work
+ Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising
+ Understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures
