LEARNING DESIGNER (MARKETING)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Designer to contribute to the development and global roll-out of competence development activities. As the Learning Designer you will be expected to design and develop learning materials, including course materials, technology based learning and practical simulations. Your goal is to facilitate learners in developing their competence in an effective and appealing manner. Working for this global organisation the role is targeted at Marketing and Channel management competence development.

Key L&D responsibilities:

 

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances the effectiveness of learning activities.
  • Work with global subject matter experts and local teams to clearly identify the organizational competence gaps and learning needs.
  • Develop effective assessment tools to identify individual's competence gaps, utilizing technology-based solutions where possible.
  • Manage technology-based learning projects to enhance the delivery of learning to Yara Crop Nutrition's global marketing team.
  • Identify relevant externally sourced learning materials to cost effectively meet the needs of the business.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
  • Ensure learning material is compliant with Yara's branding guidelines.
  • Use instructional design theories, practice and methods to develop effective learning materials.
  • Develop exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Manage the development of multilingual learning materials utilizing both external and internal resources.
  • Create and work with external / internal specialists to develop learning support material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc).
  • Maintain project documentation.

 

Personal Specification Learning Designer

 

We are looking for a highly motivated L&D professional who can work autonomously and proactively.

 

  • The ideal candidate should have:
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent, ideally including Learning and Organisational Development
  • Relevant professional L&D status advantageous.
  • Experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Course and curriculum planning skills
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
  • Visual design skills (e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Language skills: fluent in English and an additional language such as Spanish would be an advantage
