We are looking for an advertising sales executive with 2+ year's experience. Although the role is predominantly telesales you will have the opportunity to meet clients at each of the many exhibitions they cover throughout the year - this role is working across their portfolio of Show Guides, Show Previews, Newsletters, Reviews and range of online publications.

Our client is the UK's leading publisher of exhibition and show guides, newsletters and related online products. Their success is based on the owner's magazine publishing experience and background in exhibition management which marries perfectly to exhibition publishing. The company has been following an aggressive strategy to develop new contracts through their wide range of contacts in the exhibition and publishing markets. Based in open plan offices with newly designed and a relaxed but work hard mentality which suits motivated individuals. Occasional evenings out make for a motivating and enjoyable environment where committed and talented staff are rewarded for directly affecting the bottom line.

The Role

Sales training will be given on-site, equipping the right person with the necessary skills to quickly become a successful sales person or develop their current sales skills. They will also benefit from occasional training session with specialist, outside sales training agencies.

The successful candidate would be dealing with a large client base made up of suppliers ranging from large corporate organisations in different sectors to one person companies, small entrepreneurs and start ups. It involves selling a range of marketing opportunities from large sponsorships (GBP15K plus) to small adverts and logos in show guides.

You will gain hands on experience in all elements of publishing and the opportunity to learn about different markets, build broad contacts and gain a good understanding of the publishing and exhibition process.

You will want to rise to the challenge of working in a small, dynamic company and be an experienced self starter able to use his/her initiative as well as being able to fit in with a close knit team. Enthusiasm, intelligence, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are the key attributes required. For experienced candidates a proven track record is required.
