JOB TITLE: Video Producer
LOCATION: Edinburgh
SALARY & BENEFITS: circa GBP30,000 + excellent range of benefits
WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 some flexibility required
THE COMPANY: Johnston Press are a leading media company within the UK with brands including The I, The Scotsman, Yorkshire Post, Sheffield Star, and Portsmouth News. Our digital audience is nationwide and we reach over 24m users a month across mobile, desktop and tablet.
THE ROLE: We are currently recruiting for a Video Producer to join a new team in Edinburgh, creating and editing video content for our websites.
As part of a new central video team, you'll deliver rapid, highly shareable, trending video content to sites across our group and be part of a growing team as our audience expands.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Video Producer role will have a can-do attitude and a notebook full of potential video ideas.
We are particularly interested in people with a background in news, sport or lifestyle video content.
We are looking for someone who brings energy and enthusiasm to the role which will involve the full spectrum of video production including creating, curating, planning, recording and editing.
Key Experience/ Characteristics required for the Video Producer, Edinburgh
•Comfortable in a fast-paced media environment
•Strong video storytelling skills
•Experience of editing software ideally Adobe Premiere
•Live editing software, wirecast or equivalent
•Strong social media skills
•Be a team player: able to work closely with digital colleagues specialising in data, analytics, content and social media
•A good eye for a video story
•Follows the latest video trends
•Familiarity with social and analytics tools that drive both content discovery and creation
