Your new company
Your new company is a growing distributor based in Monaghan who have created a new role for the head of procurement. The are renowned for advising, stocking and distributing across all industries and have a growing presence in the UK.
Your new role
As head of procurement you will build an end-to-end operational solution encompassing product selection model, category management, procurement, demand forecasting, order management, purchasing and strategic supplier relationship management. This will be across all business units and operations. As a key member of the leadership team you will assist with stock efficiency and improve customer service levels. You will also be responsible for an annual spend of ???50 million.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have 10 years' experience in a head of procurement role, preferably within a distribution environment. 5 years' experience with ERP systems, with specific knowledge of channel management, demand forecasting, MRP, supplier forecasting, EDI and replenishment systems. A seasoned leader who has managed cross-functional projects. Proven negotiation and relationship management skills are essential. Experience with outsourcing management as well as KPI management of suppliers/vendors is required.
