Legacy Officer 

Our client, RSBC, is pleased to announce that they are recruiting for a Legacy Assistant to support the Legacy Manager with all aspects of their Legacy department including the administration of legacies and associated record keeping, liaising with executors and other charities and the design and delivery of presentation to current and prospective donors.

The newly created Legacy Officer role will also assist in providing statistics for all aspects of legacy fundraising activity and will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes, fundraising and probate best practice briefing the fundraising team on a regular basis on key issues and concerns. Legacies are a critical and important part of RSBC and as such this role touches many aspects of the society.

The successful Legacy Officer candidate will have significant experience working in the area of wills, trusts and probate and will be motivated to maximise income through direct marketing and strong customer relationship management.  They should be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and while still approaching the role with creativity and innovation.  As this role will be managed from arms’ length, the post holder must be confident working without direct supervision and have excellent communication skills.

The role will ideally be based in Bromley but we would also consider moving the role to our Hackney offices for the right candidate. Due to the nature of the Society’s work, the successful candidate will also be required to hold a current and acceptable DBS check, or be willing to undertake one.
