Up to £46,000 Plus Car Allowance (£4,000), Business Travel Expenses, Pension, 25 Days’ Holiday

As a leading technology provider, our client uses the latest technologies to manage and maintain their customers’ IT systems. Operating at the forefront of their industry, they work very closely with a range of schools and colleges. Now, they’re looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join their team. 
 
As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will:
 
- Join a supportive and collaborative IT Services Delivery Team
- Work on the introduction of new technologies into the business and customers’ environments
- Design and deliver cutting-edge projects based on server virtualisation, wired and wireless networking, storage and cyber security systems
- Implement the very latest technologies at customer sites
 
To be considered, you will need:
 
- At least three years’ experience in a senior technical role
- Experience of working with DellEMC, VMware, HyperV, Cisco, HP, Brocade and Ruckus
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Server, Exchange, AD, Azure, Systems Centre and Office 365
- Expert network technology knowledge, including wired and wireless, firewalls, switching, DNS, DHCP and IP protocols
- Excellent working knowledge of cyber security systems and configurations 
- Storage systems knowledge, including RAID and SAN 
- An industry recognised qualification, such as MCSE, VCP or CCNA 
- A full driving licence
 
Analytical and focused, as a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you’ll have a proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative. Excellent planning and prioritisation skills are key, as is the ability to communicate with customers at both a technical and non-technical level.
