The Shakespeare Hospice provides supportive and clinical palliative care through the Day Hospice setting, Hospice at Home pre and post bereavement support for both adults and children and a Transitional care service. This role is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a programme of community fundraising events and activities across South Warwickshire, Kenilworth and the North Cotswolds to meet income targets. Working collaboratively with the Head of Income Generation, Fundraising Manager, Marketing and all members of the fundraising team, the Community & Events Fundraiser will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills in this hands-on role to promote the Shakespeare Hospice and the services available. Excellent communication skills will be essential for this role to work with volunteers, community groups and other team members, and in order to provide regular reports on progress against targets and objectives. Research, planning and prioritising skills are essential in order to plan short, medium and long term activity and implement initiatives to grow existing and new income streams. The hours of work are 30 per week worked flexibly over 4-5 days per week; this role will involve some evenings and weekend work. A full driving licence and the use of a car is essential for this post. A Disclosure and Barring Check will be required for this post
