The Local Pension Partnership (LPP) is a leading pension services provider based on a commitment to first class asset and liability management. It was established in 2016 and is a growing business comprising 300 staff operating principally in Preston and London. LPP provides services to a number of public pension funds covering 1,200 employers with some 520,000 members across the LGPS and Blue Light sector. Local Pension Partnership Investments Ltd (LPPI) is the FCA authorised subsidiary of LPP and has £12.8bn of assets under management (all figures as at 30th June 2017).

LPP has a diverse Board with a range of experience covering pension fund management, liability and risk management, business management and the public sector. LPP Group is seeking three new Independent Non-Executive Directors – two of which will be Directors on LPP Ltd. The third will be a member of the LPPI Board and associated committees but will not feature on the holding company. Interested parties should bring the following characteristics to each entity:

LPP Ltd

• Experienced NEDs, who think strategically and have worked in complex financial services organisations.
• Experienced of change and an understanding of new technologies and markets; used to multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of and interest in pensions and ALM, corporate governance and a commitment to public sector values.

LPP Investments Ltd

• Extensive experience of investment operations, compliance and risk in an FCA regulated asset management company or pension fund.
• A breadth of asset class knowledge, especially in alternatives would be a distinct advantage.
• Provide challenge and support to the executive during periods of change and transformation.
• Appointments will be on a fixed term basis.
