Your new company
You will be working for a well respected international charity who play a key role in peoples lives across the world. This company are in the process in of implementing a new category structure which has developed 2 new category manager roles.
Your new role
As Category Manager you will take responsibility for 1 or 2 category areas. You will be responsible for either:
Property and Estates - With a global spend of between GBP80-90 million per year this is an almost greenfield role which will allow you to have big impact on the strategic direction this category takes.
IT and Telecoms - You will build upon a small amount of preexisting global frameworks which you can have significant influence over new direction and also play a key role in the untouched spend of regional IT and Telecoms.
Overall both opportunities will allow for the successful individual to make a key impact into a new procurement function along with having key relationship with internal stakeholders. You will have responsibilities over your set categories and implementing and developing this strategic direction.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background in Procurement and Category Management with proven experience of having the ability to shape and manage your own category. You will preferably have experience of working within the set categories and within and OJEU environment however most importantly you will be commercially minded individual who can have positive influence over stakeholders and suppliers.
