Our client now has a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Section Engineer to provide the technical and management expertise necessary to direct, lead and support a highly skilled, multi-disciplined team providing an electrical service at their Rotherham site. The ideal candidate should have similar experience or be one looking for that next level of development and can demonstrate drive and potential.
As part of your duties, you will ensure that capital, revenue and maintenance programmes are carried out efficiently and within budgets. You will effectively determine and allocate the engineering resources and materials needed to satisfy operational and engineering requirements of the plant. You will be responsible for devising and developing planned maintenance and inspection schedules. Be the go to person providing technical and engineering expertise to production management and department engineers. Ensure compliance with all statutory health, safety and environmental legislative requirements. Organise and manage the training and development of personnel. Negotiate contracts, organise and control specialist contractors providing both on and off site maintenance and services, refurbishment and modifications. Monitor KPIs for the area of responsibility. Develop and be responsible for a daily plan developed from review meetings and planned maintenance schedules for area of responsibility, communicate across all disciplines and ensure the coordination of resources to achieve the plan.
Our client is looking for a driven and determined individual with a strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering, with a knowledge of PLC systems, control systems, drives and motors. You will be able to demonstrate supervisory or technical knowledge and must be qualified preferably to graduate or as a minimum HNC level (or equivalent). The job holder should have knowledge of HV and LV systems, a good understanding of isolation and immobilisation and permit to works. It is essential you have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, good organisational skills, show effective leadership skills and be able to communicate at all levels.
