Responsibilities:
- Install and configure data network environments including: branches, data centers, private cloud, 3rd party connectivity and public cloud
- Monitor incident & problem queues, assign tickets to engineers according to available skills.
- Install, configure, and support Cisco Security, LAN, WAN & Wireless infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and support F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM).
- DNS troubleshooting and configuration.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to pre-agreed Service Levels and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
- Perform Move, Additions, Deletion and Changes as necessary in accordance with departmental change policy.
- Take appropriate steps to resolve Service Issues as and when they occur under the guidance of the Senior Network Engineer.
- Raise and execute Change Records in accordance with departmental change policy
- Perform all hands-on tasks associated with supporting a Network Environment
- Participation in the On-Call Global support rot or work on shift basis to support all regions.
- Engage with vendors to report outages and incidents.
Qualifications:
- CCNP Route/Switch minimum
- Cisco Wireless certification(s) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field required
- 7 years experience in enterprise data networking, both in a build and support environment
- Extensive, hands-on knowledge of the following platforms: Cisco route/switch, Security, and Wireless
- Expert understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, GRE, VPN
- Expert understanding of Akamai or other large content deliver networks
- Experience with F5 LTM and GTM
- Experience with Infoblox
- Experience with Checkpoint and Fortinet security appliances
- Experience with web development, content caching and complex Internet routing
