A national charity are looking for a Head of Product Management and Business Analysis to lead a team providing a range of system product management and development, business and systems analysis, data administration and user support services to facilitate the charity's delivery of a large programme.You will be responsible for leading the team to provide imaginative and robust solutions to the process, logistics and systems challenges faced by operational departments and end users. The team works closely with internal and external stakeholders and systems development teams.Key Responsibilities:-Strategic leadership: directly support and advise the Operations and Performance Director; operate as part of and in support of the Leadership Team to help shape and implement programme and organisational plans.-Team leadership - Work with Heads of Department to ensure that the team's contribution supports the annual operational plan and organisational strategic objectives.-Driving innovation - lead the team to find solutions to the challenges posed by a large and growing organisation; this will include business redesign and analysis as well as procuring/developing new systems and piloting novel ideas.-Business analysis- Oversee the team's work with business users to provide high quality business analysis and prepare cases in support of organisational investment in new projects, as well as providing analytical support to senior decision makers.-Product management - strategic responsibility for the key systems (both customer facing and internal business support) this will include working with internal and external development teams and stakeholders, as well as developing some internal business support products within the team.-Leading and managing a team of ten staff, including specialists (2 Direct reports)-Managing a team responsible for handling large amounts of operational data, including carrying out some compliance related activity.Skills and Experience required:-Strong leadership experience, including experience leading a team of analysts or product managers and experience of senior organisational leadership.-Experience of leading successful business redesign, including business process and systems analysis and change management, ideally in a fast moving operational environment and demonstrating exceptional analytical and problem solving capabilities.-Excellent software product management and development skills, including track record of strategic ownership and successful delivery of projects; evidence of prioritisation as a product manager/owner resulting in successful development; extensive experience of working with software developers.-Experience of quickly forging effective collaboration at senior levels, and particularly the ability to explain complex technical systems to non technical stakeholders.-Able to plan and prioritise effectively while managing multiple projects, clients and direct and indirect reports and internal and external stakeholders in a high change environment-Experience and understanding of dynamic project management-Strong people management skills including a proven record of improving team performance through supporting continuous professional development.-A desire for continuous improvement through seeking and sharing feedback and a willingness to learn from mistakes.
