Well established Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant & Client Manager to look after a portfolio of client work, primarily involving the preparation of annual and management accounts, business taxation and personal taxation.
You will be working with clients who are either owner-managed businesses and company directors, and so good experience of these is essential. This is a hands-on role which will enable you to develop a thorough understanding of a client's business and work closely with them. Whereas much of your work will be within the office, you will have the opportunity to visit clients in the surrounding area, so you must be a car driver.
This Accountant & Client Manager position would suit someone with several years' experience of dealing with small and medium businesses - sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, and also experience in personal and company taxation. Company secretarial support for clients is an important part of building client relationships. A positive 'can do' attitude is essential. Experience in business development and/ or marketing would be useful; part of any managers' role is to identify opportunities which can benefit clients.
Knowledge of IRIS, VT and Sage accounts software is preferable. The firm will consider applications from qualified ACA/ ACCA accountants, as well as those who are Qualified by Experience within an accountancy practice. This is a full-time Accountant & Client Manager position, although reduced hours could be considered for the right person. The salary will be commensurate with experience and ability.
