A London based E-commerce company is looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities;
- Planning, coordinating & monitoring the receipt, order assembly & dispatch of goods
- Day-to-day supervision of staff, overseeing work organised by team leaders & liaising with various departmental heads
- Using space, mechanical handling equipment efficiently & making sure quality, budgetary targets & environmental objectives are met
- Having a clear understanding of the company's policies & vision & how the warehouse contributes to these
- Coordinating the use of automated & computerised systems where necessary
- Responding to & dealing with customer communication by email and telephone
- Keeping stock control systems up to date & making sure inventories are accurate
- Planning future capacity requirements
- Organising the recruitment & training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
- Motivating, organising & encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, internal & external transport companies
- Producing regular reports & statistics on a daily, weekly & monthly basis
- Briefing team leaders on a daily basis
- Visiting customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving
- Maintaining standards of health & safety, hygiene & security in the work environment
- Researching new technologies & alternative methods of efficiency
- Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods & facility layout
- Overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery, equipment & building
Experience of working in a team & dealing with people in a warehouse setting will improve your chances with a good knowledge of Excel & IT systems. Minimum 4 years experience.
