THE ROLE
We are seeking a DIRECTOR TOWN PLANNER with around eight years or more experience to join our client, an established firm of Town Planning Consultants in their SOUTHAMPTON office.
You will be Degree qualified and also must be MRTPI qualified.
You should be able to "hit the ground running" and also have some experience of networking and business development and have experience of developing contacts.
Experience of managing other planners essential.
THE CLIENT
Our client is a specialist firm of Chartered Town Planners who have been established for over twenty years.
They do a wide range of duties for both public and private sector clients.
Our client is expanding and seeking people at various levels.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a DIRECTOR Town Planner with a relevant Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Planning & Development or similar relevant degree and you must be chartered, MRTPI qualified.
You will deal with all aspects of town planning consultancy for many major clients across the South East and South West.
Our client works on a good range of services including:- Planning Appraisals & Advice, Certificates of Lawfulness, Pre-Applications Submissions, Heritage work, Planning Applications and Appleals, Strategic Development Planning, other Development Consents, Enforcement, Public engagement, CIL/Section 106 obligations, Environmental Assessment etc.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and are able to work without supervision.
Along with having good all round town planning experience you should have had some involvement in networking and business development.
Some experience of managing other planners is also required.
A full UK driving licence and own car is essential.
You will need excellent communication skills and good written and spoken English and be able to work on a number of projects at a time.
Good prospects for the future.
Salary in the range of GBP70000 to GBP75000 plus car allowance, bonus, pension, health insurance etc.
