BAR STAFF (ALL LEVELS) - BRIGADIERS
From the multi-award-winning and critically-acclaimed JKS Restaurants, Brigadiers, which opens in Spring 2018 in the Bloomberg Arcade, will be a contemporary Indian barbecue and beer tavern inspired by the army mess bars of India, where regiments go to eat, drink and socialise.
A reception will lead guests into a myriad of rooms including a dining room, a bar stocked with over 30 different beers and enviable whisky selection, a taps room, and three private dining rooms including a 'pot luck' conservatory. Live sport will be shown on demand across selected rooms, while a pool table and classic card games will be offered for those who wish to play while they eat and drink.

The Brigadiers bar programme is fronted by award-winning Group Bar Manager, James Stevenson, (formerly of Talented Mr Fox, Peg and Patriot, Whistling Shop) who has been at the helm of some of the best bars in the world for the past 5 years whilst consulting on beverage programmes for fine dining chefs around the UK and the world. Having been listed in the 'World's 50 Best Bars' consecutively, James has been part of and fronted teams that have received multiple 'Tales of the Cocktail Spirted Awards' nominations, including 'Best New Bar', 'Best Drinks Menu' and 'Best Drinks Selection' whilst also winning UK cocktail competitions, and 'Diplomatico World Tournament 2014' and competing globally. James also owns the East London gin company 'Wolfs Nose' where he resides as founder and head distiller.
Heading up bar training and bartender development is award-winning Bartender, Maya Tarrant, whose last position was Head Bartender at 'The Blind Pig', winning the 'Tales of the Cocktail Spirted Award' for 'Best Restaurant Bar in the World'. Alongside her role at JKS Restaurants, Maya works is a consultant and trainer for spirit brands.
