We are on the lookout for an experienced web developer to help with our expanding client base and company growth.

We’re an award winning web design and development agency with studios in Herts/Essex and Cambridge. Digital partner to local and global brands, we work across the visitor attraction, food, drink, education and hospitality & leisure sectors, with some of the world’s most exciting organisations. It’s our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of others through the systems and products we create.

You could be based from either our riverside studio, or our shared creative hub in Cambridge (with a bi-weekly Hertfordshire studio visit).

You’ll be working closely with our development team on diverse, creative projects for local, national and global brands such as Pernod Ricard, Plymouth Gin, Eureka! The National Children’s Museum and Jo Jingles.

You'll Have Good knowledge of:

+ PHP
+ Laravel
+ WordPress
+ HTML(5) & CSS(3)
+ Sass (SCSS)
+ JavaScript
+ jQuery
+ Responsive development

Advantage if experienced with:

+ WooCommerce
+ CakePHP (or equivalent PHP MVC framework)

Day to day tasks:

+ Developing bespoke websites and often complex systems
+ Developing responsive websites
+ Working with the WordPress content management system
+ Preplanning of websites, creating specification documents
+ Supporting the creative director in initial client meetings
+ Building HTML templates for websites & emails
+ Cross browser and user centred testing
+ Project management duties
+ Maintenance of existing client websites

You’ll have:

+ A an eye for detail, be able to use your own initiative and take pride in your work.
+ Enthusiastic with great problem solving abilities.
+ Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
+ A desire to learn new technologies, and keep up to date with the industry.
+ A strong team mentality but also work well independently.
+ Most importantly, you’ll need to be willing to listen and push yourself.
